Beverage Bottling Line ↔ RO Capacity Reference Table

Quick-reference sizing data for plant engineers and procurement teams. Find your bottling throughput, read across to the required RO capacity (T/H) and matching Mass Series. Tables differ by beverage type — choose the tab that matches your product.

Carbonated Soft Drinks (CSD)

CSD lines need ~15% extra ingredient water for syrup mixing and CIP loops compared to plain water bottling.

Juice and Fruit Tea

Juice/tea lines reduce ingredient water demand by ~15% (concentrate dilution) but add hot-fill blending water that often requires additional polishing stages.

5-Gallon Barrel Filling

5-gallon barrel filling has a lower utility water overhead (~10%) than bottle lines because barrels are returnable and rewashed.

Wine / Vinegar / Soy Sauce Filling

Fermented and aged products use RO water mainly for blending, dilution, and CIP — net process water demand is roughly 70% of plain water bottling at the same throughput.

How to read this table: Find your closest bottling line throughput in the left column, then read across. The RO Capacity column is calculated at typical industrial recovery rates (75% for water/CSD/juice/barrel, 70% for wine/vinegar applications which often use harder feed water). Indicative prices reflect direct-from-factory Mass quotations including standard pre-treatment (sediment + carbon + softener) — additional pre-treatment depth (iron removal, antiscalant dosing, UV) is itemized separately on quotation.
Sizing safety margin: A correctly specified RO system runs at 60–70% of nameplate capacity during peak production, leaving headroom for membrane fouling between CIP cycles. The capacities in this table are nameplate; for plants running 3-shift continuous operation, request a Mass quotation that adds redundancy and a clean-in-place loop.

Reference data sources: ClearWater Industries pricing tier 2025; Morui Water and Viomi recovery-rate benchmarks; Mass Series spec sheet (0.5–50 T/H modular range). This reference table is for early-stage scoping; final specification requires a feed water analysis.
